In the Department of Communications and Marketing for the City of Lynchburg, our task was to provide information related to city government services to residents, the media, and internal departments. With this in mind, we produce numerous publications, oversee the content on city websites, and coordinate special projects. Other items include the creation, design, and production of print and digital documents including drawings, maps, infographics, way-finding, informational signage, charts, logos, and digital photographs. Here are a few examples of some of the work I do.
I worked with the creators of the book festival to create a unique logo that represents a precocious reader and mind as well as Virginia with its state bird, the Cardinal, and open books that spell out its abbreviation of VA.
From the VCBF website: "The Virginia Children’s Book Festival promotes reading to and by children and forges connections between the community and children’s authors and illustrators by offering a wide array of dynamic, free public events featuring outstanding children’s book creators."
University Event Posters
I made these posters to promote educational events for universities in Virginia, Massachusetts and California. Their clean design communicates essential information while also capturing the feeling of the event that is being promoted.
General Electric Website
For General Electric's Energy Storage website, I collaborated with an Art Director at Winstanley Partners to create a clean and corporate website, following their design standard, that was easy to navigate and communicated clearly.
Mevion Print Ad
Mevion Medical Systems asked us at Winstanley Partners to create a three-page print campaign highlighting their newest state-of-the-art proton therapy system. I worked with the Creative Director and ACD/Copywriter to design this ad that reflects their efficient and modern product.
Pelican ProGear Print & Packaging
On this project, the art department at Winstanley Partners developed Pelican ProGear's international marketing campaign. I was responsible for packaging and print layout and developed a uniform and integrated style to represent their rugged yet approachable look.
Part of the fun of being a Graphic Designer is imagining different ways a company can represent its product. These are some conceptual ideas for the Polar Beverages' warehouse facade that I created while at Winstanley Partners.
These are some of the email blasts I created while at Affliction Clothing. Email blasts highlight Affliction's high-end, aggressive, and sexy image and contain hyperlinks that direct subscribers to promotions and events.
Affliction is known for its clothes but also for ink, music, motorcycles, and mixed martial arts. Below are some event posters keeping in mind Affliction's established look that highlights the romance of life and death.
I designed these t-shirts to capture the spirit of the bold and energetic performers of Moscow Ballet.
The introspective cover was a prototype.
While at Vans, I collaborated with Visual Managers for store artwork and displays and worked on catalogs under the direction of the Apparel & Marketing Departments.
